AFTA, the Association for Torah Advancement is a not-for-profit organization committed to preserving Jewish tradition and securing Jewish education for future generations. An organization that's very alive and prominent in today's society, AFTA is committed to serving the Jewish communities of metropolitan Chicago. AFTA has helped to establish vital agencies over the years including the Ark, Keshet, Chevrah Kadisha (Jewish Sacred Society) and more, most of which are now totally independent orginizations..

Our mission is to initiate and pursue activities designed to encourage and facilitate the realization of a vibrant united Jewish community predicated on the principles and practices of Torah living. It's a mission that we take seriously and work hard to fulfill. We hope you enjoy this site and find it an easy, efficient and entertaining way to connect with people throughout Chicago and strengthen the bonds with your Jewish brothers and sisters.
